Drifting Bladder

Layer 1 · Habitat: Open air

A floating creature the size of a house, held up by gas sacs and trailing long tendrils that sift the air

Description

A floating creature the size of a house, held aloft by clusters of translucent gas sacs, with curtains of long tendrils trailing beneath it to sift the air for food. It drifts slowly with the wind around the light rod, barely aware of delvers. It only fights what touches it or attacks it. When one dies, it falls through the layer like a collapsing cloud, and every predator on the Pilgrimage follows it down.
