Hushwing

Layer 1 · Habitat: Dim Galleries

A bat-winged flyer with a flat, mask-like face and no mouth

Description

A bat-winged flyer the size of a large dog, with a flat, pale face like a mask and no mouth at all. Wherever it flies, sound dies: footsteps, voices, the crack of a spell. Delvers notice it only when they realize they can no longer hear each other. It feeds on breath, pressing its face against its prey’s and drawing the air out of them.
