Hanging Stalker

Layer 1 · Habitat: Descent Wall

A gaunt, long-armed creature that follows climbers along the underside of ledges for hours before it strikes

Description

A gaunt, grey creature with arms twice as long as its body, which hangs upside down beneath ledges. It is patient: it follows a party of climbers along the underside of the wall for hours, unseen, waiting for one of them to fall behind or rest on a rope. Then it reaches out, grabs, and climbs away with its prey.
