A cluster of giant soap bubbles that hold their shape too well

Description

A cluster of giant bubbles, each as wide as a person, shimmering with soapy colors and drifting gently in the damp air of the galleries. They are almost impossible to tell from ordinary bubbles, except for their size, the way they cluster, and the way they hold their shape far too well. Each bubble is filled with acid. The ooze attacks by slamming its bubbles into its prey, and by letting a few drift loose to burst.

Traits

False Appearance. While motionless, the ooze looks like a cluster of ordinary soap bubbles. A creature that succeeds on a DC 14 Wisdom (Perception) check notices that the bubbles are too large and hold their shape unnaturally.

Amorphous. The ooze can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch without squeezing.

Bursting Death. When the ooze drops to 0 Hit Points, it bursts. Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 13, each creature within 10 feet of it. Failure: 10 (3d6) Acid damage. Success: Half damage.

Actions

Bubble Slam. Melee Attack Roll: +4, reach 10 ft. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) Bludgeoning damage plus 7 (2d6) Acid damage.

Loose Bubbles (Recharge 4–6). The ooze releases three bubbles, which drift up to 30 feet and burst. Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 13, each creature within 5 feet of any of the bubbles (a creature makes only one save). Failure: 14 (4d6) Acid damage. Success: Half damage.
